Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have experience in motors and drives, both AC and DC

  • Must have experience using Microsoft computer applications

  • Knowledge of stamping presses and their supporting systems
  • Familiar with Quality Management System standards

  • Familiar with Electrical code and its application in an industrial environment

Able to work with minimal supervision and able to work in a fast paced environment

  • Must be able to read, speak and write English and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of related equipment and tools

  • Electrical schematic reading

Responsibilities

  • Repair, maintenance and installation of building/ house hold electrical systems

  • Perform and document preventative maintenance as scheduled

  • Repair and maintain electrical control systems of production equipment and machines, such as metal fabricating, machine tools, material handling systems, presses, following blueprints and specifications using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring tools

  • Remove and replace worn or defective parts or drive mechanism, re-align and adjust components, start machine and equipment to test operation following repair
  • Install control and distribution apparatus such as switches, relays, and circuit breaker panels

  • Wiring tool equipment and related cables
